Basking sharks are often sighted of Rame Head in the summer. These gental gaints are a sight to behold, reaching up to lengths of 35ft/10 metres and living around 50 years. Although the numbers have dwindled in the South west of England, this is not true of Scotland, where numbers of Basking Sharks are stable and growing. Plankton is what they are after.
