In February 2025 I was part of Press, an exhibition that showcased work by artists from Tamar Print Workshop.
Originally founded in 1992 by Mary Gillett, Tamar Print Workshop represents a broad network of printmakers working in Plymouth, West Devon and East Cornwall. It has established itself in the area as a unique central resource for professional artist printmakers and aspiring amateurs alike. Members regularly collect together at its location on the edge of Dartmoor to benefit from tuition and gain access to facilities. From this vibrant hub of expertise, talent, support and generosity, unique friendships and alliances have formed which foster positive critique, to push ideas further within a trusting and caring environment.
Mary Gillett and this workshop have played a huge part in my journey as an artist, so being involved in this exhibition was fantastic. Not only did it allow me to reflect on how far I had come in my practice but also to admire the work of my colleagues and friends.
