Beneath the Surface series #9 Complex Relationships
This is a more complex print, as I first drew a series of human brain images as my starting point for this print. I have also used linocut and drypoint techniques to evolve this image.
As I build each image using layers of colour, sand, salt, and stencils, I start to imagine a story emerging out of the print. Rummaging through my beach detritus collecting during my walks, I always find something that I can add into my images that can become a talking point, a gentle message or just a beautiful juxtaposition.
